Why I Coach Caregivers

 

For me this is personal, because I’ve been there.  I lived through the stress of caring for a loved one when I had the privilege of caring for my husband for the nine years he suffered from early onset Alzheimer’s.

 

During those years, even though I was a physician, I had to scramble to navigate the medical, environmental, and care supports that he needed. Taking care of myself was hard.  I experienced all the highs and lows that went along with caregiving, and dealt with the uncertainties, the frustrations,  the grief, and the losses.

 

I paid a price for how the stress and chronic demands impacted my own health, and my mission is that you don't have to pay that same price.  And more than that, I know that when you learn to effectively manage your stressors, grief, and worries, you will feel confident, guilt free, and calm.

 

I am offering to you my 30+ years as a physician specialist in psychiatry working with over 10,000 individuals and families, my additional training and experience as a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and my personal experience as a caregiver bundled together in a dynamic, personalized, effective program to support you.
